About Us

Dr. Johnson was raised in Fort Collins, CO and he graduated from Colorado State University in 1984. He then matriculated through the University of Colorado School of Dentistry, Creighton University School of Medicine, and completed Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery specialty training at the University of Oklahoma.

Dr. Johnson spent an additional 18 months of training in General Anesthesia.

Dr. Johnson started his private practice in Durango in 1997. He has the experience of over32,000 cases of IV General Anesthesia in his office for the extraction of teeth, wisdom teeth, placement of dental implants, management of facial accidents, and dental infections.

With 30 years of Dental Implant experience, Dr. Johnson has the knowledge to meet your implant needs. He works in conjunction with your General Dentist to formulate a treatment plan that can meet your functional, as well as your financial needs.  Dr. Johnson has the most reasonably priced dental implants in the Four Corners Region.

Dr. Johnson will communicate with your General Dentist to make sure that he or she is aware of all procedures performed.

As a former Big Brother, Dr. Johnson regularly donates to the Big Brothers and Sisters of Southwest Colorado. He has donated his services to the United Way annual fall Radiothon since 1997, and makes financial contributions to various schools in the Durango area.
